Venezuelan food is back in Bournemouth

Lovers of Venezuelan and Latin American food in the UK will be pleased to know that Venezuelan entrepreneur and cook Sandra Sardan is back in the British seaside resort of Bournemouth at a new venue serving up all the old favourites from her previous place at Munchies: arepas stuffed with shredded beef and cheese, empanadas, guasacaca sauce and even tequeños.

Given there are so few places in the UK to sample Venezuelan food this is very good news indeed.

Operating every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the spacious Bar Zuka restaurant and tapas bar on Charminster Road, Sandra hopes the Venezuelan-food day will attract locals from the Bournemouth area interested in exploring new Latin American food flavours and Venezuelans in the UK looking to combine a day in Bournemouth with a chance to savour the traditional tastes of home.

So come along to the opening day on Sunday, 3 April, and enjoy an arepa or two, washed down with a coffee, or a cold beer (the new venue has a drinks licence and a nice open patio area out the back).

If you have a large group and you want Sandra to prepare something special, contact her before you go at scsardanc@gmail.com or call her on: 0759-966-2300.

Bar Zuka is located at 59 Charminster Road (tel: 01202-299-998). A map showing how to get there is available here:
